Judges

The CSUN SS12 coordinators are excited to announce the judges for this years competition.

Diane Schwartz

Diane Schwartz is a professor of computer science at California State University, Northridge. She has held several administrative positions in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Currently she is teaching and is a co-pi of an NSF grant, the purpose of which is to increase the retention of students in STEM majors. She received her Ph.D in Mathematics from UCLA.


Dr. Mary Ann Cummins Prager

Dr. Mary Ann Cummins Prager is Associate Vice President for Student Access and Support Services at California State University where she has administrative oversight responsibility for a variety of units including: The Center on Disabilities, National Center on Deafness, Career Center, Financial Aid and Student Outreach and Recruitment Services. In her prior position, she was Director of the Center on Disabilities at California State University, Northridge. The Center on Disabilities is known both nationally and internationally for its annual conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities. The conference allows thousands of attendees to explore the applications of assistive technology in educational, home, workplace and leisure settings through the presentation of research, and exhibitor demonstrations.

Dr. Cummins Prager has worked in the area of disability solutions at California State University, Northridge for more than 15 years, first as the campus ADA Coordinator and finally as the Director of the Center on Disabilities. While in these positions, she has consulted with numerous universities, community agencies and peers in the field of assistive technology. She is currently involved in the exchange of information concerning policies and shared research on assistive technology, in the international arena working cooperatively with conference coordinators in Europe, Mexico, Latin America and Asia. In addition, Dr. Cummins Prager teaches a course in the Assistive Technology and Human Services Master's degree program at Cal State Northridge.


Peter Muller

Mr. Muller has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from California State University Northridge in Northridge, California. Mr. Muller has over 20 plus years of experience working for various aerospace companies in Southern California in the areas of embedded real-time software development and process improvement. Prior to joining the Northrop Grumman Corporation he was employed by AlliedSignal Government Systems where he held various engineering positions and was responsible for a software product line and software process improvement activities. Mr. Muller joined the Northrop Grumman Corporation through the acquisition of Litton Industries which he joined in 1997 as a member of the Engineering Process Group. Since then he has worked in various Engineering and Mission Assurance areas with increasing responsibility. Mr. Muller was named to his current position as Manager, Design Assurance in 2008.
